Bombay Singer (Bombay Songstress), supposedly one of the many works that Raja Ravi Varma painted of his muse Anjanibai Malpekar, a famous exponent of the Bhendibazaar gharana of music. This painting was sent along with 10 of Varma's works to the World Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, the same year this work was created. It is part of an important private collection today.
