In an attempt to kill Krishna, Kamsa invites Krishna and Balarama to Mathura feigning affection. When Krishna and Balarama visit Mathura, they enter the house of Sudhama who gifts Krishna a garland. Krishna in turn blesses Sudhama. In this print from the Ravi Udaya Press derived from a painting by Raja Ravi Varma, Krishna is seen seated on the same rank as Sudhama, with his hand resting upon Sudhamaƒ??s shoulder in blessing. Sudhama is seen respectfully acknowledging Krishna.
